THE CHURCH AND IT PURPOSE

THE CHURCH AND IT PURPOSE

THE-CHURCH-AND-IT-PURPOSE

We know that church is the place where believers gathers as in congregation to worship the Lord God.

Acts 11:26

[26]And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

People who belongs to the Lord are the called out ones through the blood of Jesus Christ to be heirs or partakers of the kingdom of God, sanctified from the world to be edified by God through the ministrations of Ministers of God so that the children of God or the elects will be perfected or well equipped to meet Christ Jesus in His second coming.

The church is also known as the "Body Of Christ" of which we are all members to the body of Christ. All saints or elects of God are members of Christ Jesus.

 What Are The Purpose?

1. To Equip And Edify The Elects

1 Corinthians 12:27-28

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

The word equip means to "to prepare or make ready".

The church is meant to equip the Elects or the saints of God that they will be perfect in the Lord.

 Ephesians 4:11-12

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

When we bring the souls to Christ, now through the blood of Jesus Christ they are redeemed already when we lead to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior  and now as they become like a new born baby's, they need to be fed with the word of God besides they also need the baptism because salvation is in steps.

As the shepherds needs to gathers the sheep and feed them so the ministers have to gather the saints and teach them and equip them as well.

We are to prepare them to meet Christ Jesus, if the ministers refuse to teach them as Jesus Christ said "and teach them whatsoever I have commanded you".

There is no way they will come to the true knowledge of the word of God if we don't gather them as a church and teach them to observe what the Lord has commanded us all.

In edification and the equipping moment, Jesus Christ has given unto the church we the ministers of which some are Apostles, Teachers, Pastors, Prophets And Evangelists so that the work of the Ministry will be successful and tending to the flock with the gifts of Grace He the Lord Jesus Christ has bestowed on us will help us with ease to present saints to the Lord.

2. Gathering Of The Saints.

As the word of God says "do not forsake the gathering of the saints" Church is meant for the gathering of the saints.

Every Christian or believer of Jesus Christ must be part of the gathering of the saints in the church activity whether to pray, listened to teaches, interceding or worshiping God.

Anyone who is named after Christ must go to church, must be part of the Church as the disciples did.

3. Pray

Matthew 21:13

[13]And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

The church where we gather as saints is a place we have to also pray unto the Lord.

Prayer is very important and as saints God's ears are opened to our prayers and expect His people during their gathering to say prayers in their service to Him.

Wherever as a church we meet and see the place to be holy and dedicate to the Lord in meeting, praying and worshiping God, He is the there.

For bible says "wherever two or three has gathered in His name, He is there with them".

4. To Worship And Thank God

We go to church to worship the Lord. We praise and worship Him for who He is and thanks Him for what He had done for us.

In worshiping and thanking Him we also give offering to show appreciation unto the Lord for all the good He has done for us.
