The Gospel And The Media

The Gospel And The Media

It is apparent that the media has a beneficial impact on our style of sharing or presenting the gospel; additionally, the media is impacted by the gospel we deliver. Many people have been rescued as a result of the media, and many more have learned more about Jesus, Heaven and Hell, Righteousness, and so on. What exactly is the media? Media is a channel through which we deliver and receive information, such as social media, television, and radio in or other words the main means of mass communication (broadcasting, publishing, and the internet) regarded collectively

The media has greatly aided in the seamless transmission of the messages we preach throughout the world. Smartphones and other computer tools have enabled more than 90 percent of today's youths to be reached by sermons shared on social media. YouTube, Facebook, and blogs are all possible channels through which we might reach out and be reached with messages.

Though I will share with you some positive influence and some testimonies they are having as well as the negative impact so that we can learn and know what we can do more to facilitate the flow of the ministry online.

A friend told me that I uploaded a video on my WhatsApp status on prayer, and he saw it, and it inspired him to pray for hours from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. He told me he felt strongly about it and prayed effortlessly.

My situation has blessed a brother to be praying all along. Glory to Jesus, because when we communicate about Jesus everywhere, someone who sees your status can be rescued completely.

This year, I received another testimony from someone who lives in Côte d'Ivoire, he WhatsApped me and the number seemed strange, so I inquired about his identity, mission, and how he got my number; he told me he reads my messages, so he spotted my number on Facebook and chose to WhatsApp me. He expressed a desire to learn more about God.

Joyce was someone who was invited by a brother for the online campaign which Br Phillip was the preacher. As the preacher  expounded the word of God(Rom 12:1-2) , her knowledge on purity expanded also as she realized the need for her body to be pure before Jehovah and for Jehovah. Joyce was suffering from past mistakes associated with immoral vices(masturbation and fornication). She said she could clearly remember as the preacher man quoted, "Anything you give as a sacrifice or gift , no longer belongs to you anymore". At this moment she realized how sinful her immoral acts were and saw God's initial intentions for her as her destiny as a whole. She also realized God's plans for her as long as she relies fully on God. Discovering God's love , she openly asked for forgiveness and accepted God's mercy.

Now she only lives for God's Glory by His Grace.

REPORTED BY: BROTHER RAPHAEL -Christ For All Campuses Outreach Network member.

By the grace of God, I do Purity Campaign every semester, and Sister Joyce received her blessing through the conference call program for the September Purity Campaign in 2021.

By the Grace of God, the Ghaspot, which has now been changed into Gospel Tracts Daily, has received more reads from around the world.

The media has had a significant positive impact on my ability to share the gospel with the rest of the world.

The media does not forget; whatever content you upload on social media will remain there in perpetuity until you delete everything.

Messages uploaded since the 1990s are still having a significant impact on people's lives, even though the preacher may have died.

The Gospel And The Media

We share the messages to disseminate the gospel or the word of the Lord with thousands of individuals worldwide through a program.

As ministers, we are unable to eliminate the media since it has already established itself. The message must be spread widely.

If we choose not to preach the gospel on the media, we fail because there are several activities that take place there that lead youths to indulge in lusts, covetousness, and occult practices. According to the Bible, it will take place in the final days.

Easy-to-Read Version 2 Timothy 3:1-3  Remember this: There are some terrible times coming in the last days. People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud and boast about themselves. They will abuse others with insults. They will not obey their parents. They will be ungrateful and against all that is pleasing to God. They will have no love for others and will refuse to forgive anyone. They will talk about others to hurt them and will have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.

We've had people who were sinners, wicked, and had given up on themselves, but after watching the videos or reading the articles, they've changed and become agents of change in the world.

As I have already shared my testimonies with you, allow me to also share with you the bad impact of today's media.

Are we aware that the media has bent people's minds and hearts to the love of money? Many people, including pastors, use YouTube and Facebook purposely to make money and leave the main assignments. Though it is not evil to make money on such platform for even the bible says "through the gospel we share eat" but many people go there for different agenda of which money is their first aim and they forget the positive, godly and spiritfilled impacts they should make to bless the body of Christ as large.

Some had Jesus in mind at first, but their plans altered when they wanted to get rich through social media rather than spreading the truth first.

Most pastors, preachers, and others' brains have been poisoned by money, thus they don't mind speaking ill of their colleague pastor in order to make passive revenue.

Now, speaking about various men of God, assaulting their personalities, and so-called expose of men of God by other renown men of God has gotten out of hand.

2 Timothy 3:3 They will have no love for others and will refuse to forgive anyone. They will talk about others to hurt them and will have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good

They don't care whether it hurts you. Creating confusion here and there in order to acquire a lot of traffic and profit passively. Many preachers are now targeting their friends in various ways.

Others do it for the sake of fame and popularity. For fame, many bloggers and YouTubers now utilize false content to criticize real and true men of God. Despite this, many Christians are engaged in such behavior; instead of preaching the gospel, others are confusing many members with their channels for money, celebrity, social status, and a variety of other selfish reasons. It's fine to add clarity to sermons, but it's harmful to create uncertainty among God's men.

While claiming to love God, we have actually allowed all of these bad things to infiltrate our hearts.

Many young people nowadays are so vicious and hostile toward pastors, hateful of God's word, and it permeates social media. Such individuals attract followers and open up areas in people's hearts where they can harbor rage and hatred for God's men and the gospel.

Easy-to-Read Version Matthew 24:10-12 During that time many believers will lose their faith. They will turn against each other and hate each other. Many false prophets will come and cause many people to believe things that are wrong. There will be so much more evil in the world that the love of most believers will grow cold.

We must communicate about Jesus more than we share about ourselves, and we must use the media to win souls for Christ rather than engage in backstabbing for fame and fortune. YouTube and Facebook has become one channel people mostly lie including christians, people write falsehood, speaks falsehood and interpret falsehood to win the hearts of men.

But let us remember, the master of all liars is Satan.

Easy-to-Read Version John 8:44 Your father is the devil. You belong to him. You want to do what he wants. He was a murderer from the beginning. He was always against the truth. There is no truth in him. He is like the lies he tells. Yes, the devil is a liar. He is the father of lies.

False information, how many Christians, pastors, and prophets appear in the media claiming to have spoken when God has not. Today, falsehood is destroying churches. Falsehood being spread in the name of God.

Remember that the deceivers mentioned in the Bible will not only come to you face to face, but will also come to you through media handles, flooding the media with misinformation in order to get attention, followership, readership, and so on.

Let us use the media with caution, for anything we do will be judged by God.
